Theresa Chan, a passionate theatre practitioner turned costume designer.
Theresa started her journey 21 years ago in the costume industry as a costume apprentice, aka Dresser. Every with show she worked on, her costume knowledge grew. And with a stroke of luck and many years of hard work, she carved out a career in Costume Design/Management.
Some of her notable credits include Hotel by Wildrice Ltd, Our Sister Mambo by Cathay Films, Porsche Global Dealer Launch 2024 etc…
Theresa had the opportunity to lead the costume department in UWCSEA-East Campus (High School) and that was when she became the proud mastermind behind this shop. Walking into a closing down sale to procure some costumes and in 10 minutes walking out as the new owner of the costume shop.
The Costume was born.
With the knowledge she has and her passion unwavering, The Costume opened its doors in July 2018.
